Hey everyone, the los angeles electric 8 udated their repertoire section
with samples of our new pieces (and some old) from recent
performances..... In case you are curious to what they
sound like if you missed some shows. We also updated our photos section,
which took forever. See you soon :)
We are pleased to announce that we'll be sharing the
stage with our friends Edmund Welles, the bass clarinet
quartet. Edmund Welles is not to be missed. The innovative
Bay Area quartet plays what they call heavy chamber
music, mixing old-school metal with chamber arrangements.
We'll be playing pieces from our new set that we premiered
to a sold-out crowd at the Armory Center for the Arts.
(Thanks everyone for such a great turnout!) We will
also be premiering some new music you didn't hear at
the Armory. In addition, if you missed the Armory show,
we play two full sets alone at the acoustically stunning
Church of the Epiphany in Oak Park the following Sunday.
We'll premiere a few new pieces there as well

"an extremely exciting album,
not to mention enjoyable to listen to,
and gives one the feeling of being on
the ground floor of something fresh and
new."
Come to the Armory Center for the Arts, where we will
offer a distinctive interpretation of sacred music
for this year's World Festival of Sacred Music. We
will recast a number of sacred and devotional works
from their original instrumentation—adaptations
of traditional Indonesian gamelan, chorales by Bach,
Messiaen, Villa-Lobos and more.
Sunday / Septemeber 21st, 2008 / 7:00pm
Pasadena/Armory Center for the Arts
